Birthday Card Ideas exists for the moment someone's birthday is coming up and you would like to hand over a card you made yourself. The tagline is Cut · Print · Make, and those are the three routes the site covers: cutting a design on a Cricut or a similar machine, printing one at home, or building a card by hand from cardstock and glue.
Three Routes, Two Kinds of Page
Collections are short, sorted lists of card designs: SVG cut files, printable cards, funny cards, watercolor and floral cards, cute cards, and cards for a particular person. Each one is small enough to look through in a couple of minutes.
Guides are the articles. They deal with what a design file cannot tell you: which cardstock to buy, what size envelope an A2 card needs, how to keep a score line from being cut through, how to print a message on the inside, what to write once the card is made. A guide should be useful even if you never download anything.
Where the Designs Come From
Every design shown here is sold on Creative Fabrica, a marketplace where independent designers list their own work. To build a collection, we begin with the listings that members of that marketplace have saved most often. Each one is then looked at by hand. It stays only if it really is a birthday card design, fits the collection it sits in, and has a preview clear enough to judge.
The files themselves never pass through this site. Nothing is hosted here and nothing is edited. A card on a collection page links to the designer's own listing, which is the place to check formats, sizes and license terms before downloading.
Who Pays for the Site
The links to Creative Fabrica are affiliate links. When a visitor signs up or downloads through one, the site receives a commission from the marketplace, at no added cost to the visitor. That commission is the only income. There are no ads, no sponsored articles, and no products of our own for sale.
Being paid this way does not change what gets listed. The starting point is what marketplace members saved, and the hand check decides the rest.
Write to Us
If a link is broken, a design is in the wrong collection, or a measurement in a guide looks off, please say so through the contact page. Corrections to sizes, paper weights and machine steps are especially welcome, because software and products change. Designers who would like a listing shown differently, or taken down, can use the same page.
